Cancellation Policy
Villa Tahir – Albufeira, Algarve, Portugal

We understand that travel plans can change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to our guests while protecting the dates reserved exclusively for their stay.
Please read this policy carefully before making a reservation.
1. Cancellation 31 Days or More Before Arrival
Cancellations made 31 days or more before the scheduled check-in date will receive a 100% refund of all payments made.
Any non-refundable payment-processing fees charged by a payment provider, where applicable, may be deducted from the refund.
2. Cancellation 30–15 Days Before Arrival
Cancellations made 30 to 15 days before the scheduled check-in date will receive a 50% refund of the total accommodation amount.
The remaining 50% will be retained in accordance with this Cancellation Policy.
3. Cancellation 14 Days or Less Before Arrival
Cancellations made 14 days or less before the scheduled check-in date are non-refundable.
No refund will be provided for:
-Cancellations made within 14 days of arrival
-No-shows
-Late arrival
-Early departure
-Changes to travel plans
-Reducing the length of the stay after the applicable cancellation period
4. Bookings Made Within 30 Days of Arrival
For reservations made within 30 days of the scheduled check-in date, full payment is required at the time of booking.
These reservations remain subject to the cancellation periods stated above.
5. Changing a Reservation
Requests to change the dates of a reservation are subject to availability.
Any change may result in a difference in the applicable rental rate.
Date changes are not guaranteed. If the requested new dates are unavailable, the original reservation and cancellation terms will continue to apply.
A request to shorten the length of a stay may be treated as a cancellation and will therefore be subject to this Cancellation Policy.
6. Rebooking After Cancellation
If Villa Tahir is successfully rebooked for the same dates following a cancellation, Villa Tahir may, at its discretion, offer a partial or full refund of an amount retained under this Cancellation Policy.
Any such refund is not guaranteed and depends on the circumstances and value of the replacement booking.
7. Security Deposit
The security deposit is separate from the accommodation payment and is not affected by the cancellation terms above.
If a reservation is cancelled before the security deposit has been collected, there is no security deposit to refund.
Where a security deposit has already been paid, it will be handled separately in accordance with the Security Deposit terms in our Terms & Conditions.
8. Exceptional Circumstances
If Villa Tahir becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we will contact the guest as soon as reasonably possible.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, Villa Tahir may offer:
-A full refund, or
-Alternative dates, subject to mutual agreement.
Guests are strongly encouraged to purchase travel insurance covering cancellation, illness, travel disruption, flight cancellation and other unforeseen circumstances.
9. How to Cancel
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by email.
The cancellation date is the date on which Villa Tahir receives the written cancellation request.
Please include:
-Guest name
-Booking reference, if applicable
-Check-in and check-out dates
-Reason for cancellation, if you wish to provide one
Villa Tahir will confirm receipt of the cancellation request and advise the guest of any applicable refund.
10. Refunds
Where a refund is due under this policy, Villa Tahir will process the refund to the original payment method where reasonably possible.
Refund processing times may depend on the payment provider or financial institution.
11. Agreement
By making a reservation with Villa Tahir, the guest confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to this Cancellation Policy.
